I was one of 18 writers longlisted for the 2021 Nan Shepherd Prize for underrepresented nature writers, for my proposal My Body Is A Ritual / My Body Is An Exorcism. You can read more about the project and the prize on the Nan Shepherd Prize website.

My piece This Is A Story about Friendship has been long listed for the Spread the Word Life Writing Prize 2020. The anthology of the long-listed pieces was published digitally, for free, in June 2020. Friendship also appeared in One Hand Clapping‘s Life Writing Prize series in the same month.

Drama

I am one of 35 writers shortlisted for the 2022 VAULT Five mentoring programme operated by VAULT Festival, for a new play currently in development.

In 2020, I was chosen as one of six playwrights to participate in the North Wall’s Catalyst residency to develop my script The Eulogy. The residency took place in March-April 2022, culminating in a showcase of extracts at the Alchymy Festival 2022. I was given space at the New Diorama Theatre Broadgate to continue developing this play in June 2022.

An extract from my play Ivy was due to be performed as part of a work-in-progress showcase at VAULT Festival 2022 (cancelled). This play was developed as part of writer/performer Tabby Lamb’s Queer Theatremakers’ Handbook in May and June 2021, and an extract from the play was shared at a digital showcase in June 2021 hosted by Wildcard Theatre.

In 2021, I worked as as an assistant scriptwriter on an upcoming Ben Fredericks Collaborations’ project, an interactive theatre piece which tackles disability and eugenics.
